The mass shooting at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand claimed 49 lives and the terrorist carrying out these shootings live streamed his act of violence and extremism for almost 17 minutes.

Facebook has faced backlash previously for allowing its user to use the platform for spreading hate speech and violence. However, after the NZ shooting, Facebook claims that it removing any praise or support for the shooter or the act of violence that occurred in NZ.
