The horrible terrorist attack at two mosques in Christchurch claimed more than 50 lives and that too of innocent people. Although there are several attacks that occur in several parts of the world and the most terrible part was that the entire incident was live-streamed on Facebook and that too for a long time.

The terrorist carrying out the attack made a live video and it was shared on Facebook which earned more than 4,000 views before it was taken down from social media. Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, considers that Facebook must be held accountable since it failed in controlling the spread of the terrible video.

Jacinda Ardern said “We cannot simply sit back and accept that these platforms just exist and what is said is not the responsibility of the place where they are published. They are the publisher, not just the postman. There cannot be a case of all profit, no responsibility.”

Different world leaders have expressed their deep concern about the events that have occurred on FB live-stream and how it is affecting the mental health of the viewers. This is a terrible trend that the entire world is following and this is changing and forming the thinking pattern of young kids.
